Anyone relying on the contents of this report acknowledges the following clauses, defining the Scope and Limitations of the inspection, integral to the report. For clarity or understanding difficulties, please contact the inspector before acting on this report.
THE PURPOSE OF THE INSPECTION
The Pool barrier inspection aims to issue either a Pool Safety Certificate or a Non-Conforming report. This attachment is part of the Non-conforming report, advising the Pool owner on non-compliance issues, detailing them, and offering recommendations for compliance with the Pool Safety Standard.
THE SCOPE OF THE INSPECTION
The inspection involves visually assessing the pool barrier, and conducting tests for strength and rigidity, as per the Pool Safety Standard Appendix. It includes measuring all barrier components like walls, doors, windows, gates, and others forming part of the barrier. Ensuring compliance with height and gap requirements, the inspection forms an opinion on the barrier’s general condition. Estimates for rectification costs are outside the Standard’s scope and not part of this report.
LIMITATIONS OF THE INSPECTION
The report is limited to accessible areas on the inspection date. If the barrier involves a boundary fence, permission from the neighbouring property owner is needed. Access to premises may be required for barriers including windows or doors projecting into the pool area.
POOL SAFETY CONSULTATIONS
Consultations offer verbal advice only, with no written report unless agreed upon in writing before consultation.
ACCESS
The property owner must provide safe, clear, and uninterrupted access for a thorough assessment. For barriers involving a boundary fence, pool owners arrange access to neighbouring properties if necessary.
PAYMENT
The total amount is due before inspection via EFT or cash. Late payment incurs fees at a rate of 20% pa, calculated daily. Elite Pool Inspections may terminate agreements for non-payment.
PRICING DISCLAIMER
Prices may change without notice. For ordered but unpaid services or products, the price is guaranteed for one month from the order date.
DAMAGES DURING INSPECTION
Elite Pool Inspections are not liable for damages during “Strength & Rigidity Testing” and “Gate Operation.” Owners are responsible for repairing or replacing damaged components for compliance.
MINOR ADJUSTMENTS
Adjustments are considered minor at the inspector’s discretion during the inspection.
RE-INSPECTION REQUIREMENTS
Non-compliance with re-inspection requirements may result in reporting to the local council, with an additional administration fee.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Respectful behaviour towards staff is expected, including treating them with respect, avoiding intimidation or abuse, and not recording without consent.
TERMINATION OF AGREEMENT
Elite Pool Inspections reserves the right to terminate agreements without notice if terms are not met.
